5 Times of Prayer in the Quran
In Islam there are 5 prayers which are compulsory for every Muslim to perform. Yes, it is 5 times a day. The word which is used for 5 prayers is salah. Salah Also includes Friday prayer, which is known as Dhuhr. This prayer is performed in a group.
What is the Salah?
Salah is the second of the Five Pillars of Islam.
When are the 5 Times of Prayer?
The time of these prayers are:-
- Salah al-fajr: the dawn or any time before sunrise
- Salah al-zuhr: midday, after the sun passes its highest
- Salah al-'asr: the late part of the afternoon
- Salah al-maghrib: dusk or just after sunset
- Salah al-'isha: between sunset and midnight
